Red Sea Boat Trips from Soma Bay

From the peninsula to the islands

From the peninsula to the islands

Soma Bay is surrounded by the sea, yet none of these boats start there. Our driver takes you north from your hotel to the marina in Hurghada, where you board, and brings you back to Soma Bay once the boat is in. Island days lead to Orange Bay, Paradise, Bianca, Hula Hula, Mahmya or Eden Island, usually with two snorkeling stops on the reefs. On Mahmya and Eden, lunch is served on the island itself.

Pirates, VIP decks, dolphins and dives

Pirates, VIP decks, dolphins and dives

Other boats have a theme. Sail to Orange Bay on a pirate boat or with more deck space on the Elite VIP boat, combine Orange Bay and Magawish in one day, or spend a beach day on the new Ozirea Island. Dolphin House offers a good chance of wild dolphins and two snorkeling stops. Divers, including complete beginners, can take the boat with 2 dives and PADI instructors, or add a first dive to an Orange Bay day.

Staying dry, or a boat of your own

Staying dry, or a boat of your own

Some guests prefer to watch rather than swim. The Sea Scope semi-submarine and a private glass bottom boat do that from Hurghada, while the Panorama semi-submarine and the Nefertari, with its underwater deck, start in Makadi Bay, between Soma Bay and Hurghada. For a boat of your own, private speed boats go to Orange Bay, Hula Hula, Magawish or Dolphin House with a captain only for your group. We send the pickup time on WhatsApp or Telegram.

Frequently asked questions

No. Most trips sail from the marina in Hurghada, and the Nefertari and Panorama start in Makadi Bay. The road there and back from your Soma Bay hotel is arranged for you.

Orange Bay, Dolphin House, Mahmya and Paradise Island are the top choices, each with island time and two snorkeling stops.

Orange Bay is known for white sand and a lagoon, Mahmya and Eden serve lunch on the island, and Orange Bay with Magawish gives you two islands in one day.

No. The chances are good, but dolphins are wild and come and go as they like.

Yes. Life jackets are on board, and the semi-submarines, the Nefertari underwater deck and the glass bottom boat show the reef while you stay dry.

Yes. The scuba diving trip and the diving option on the Orange Bay trip include a first dive with an instructor, and no experience is needed.

Yes. Choose a private speed boat to Orange Bay, Hula Hula, Magawish or Dolphin House, or the private glass bottom boat for up to 8 people.

Most full-day island trips serve lunch with soft drinks. The private speed boats come without food, so bring snacks.
