Orange Bay Island Snorkeling Trip – Soma Bay

White sand and very shallow turquoise water make Orange Bay one of the best-known islands of the Red Sea. This yacht trip from Soma Bay pairs it with reef snorkeling in a compact sea day of about 6 hours.

Where is it? Orange Bay belongs to the Giftun islands, a protected area off the coast. The yacht gives you one hour there to lie on the beach, swim and take photos.

Your Soma Bay hotel is the starting point. We drive you north to the marina in Hurghada, the base of most of our boat trips, and you join a comfortable yacht with a sun deck. Departures are daily at about 08:00.

Two coral reef stops round off the day. Colorful fish and coral wait below; gear is provided, life jackets and safety equipment are ready, and the spots are easy for beginners yet fun for experienced snorkelers.

Lunch comes on board with water, soft drinks, coffee and tea, served by a professional crew. Not in the package: underwater photos and videos, beach towels, sunscreen and personal spending. Once the yacht is back, the driver takes you home to Soma Bay.

Good to know: carry your passport or a copy for a possible port check. Swimwear, a towel and sunscreen are must-haves, and beach shoes and a light cover-up help.
