Mahmya Island Snorkeling Trip – Soma Bay

Some islands are busy; Mahmya is calm. Known as one of the most exclusive spots on the Red Sea, it is the goal of this full-day yacht outing for guests based in Soma Bay, and kids are welcome too.

Why Mahmya? It belongs to the protected Giftun islands area, and its white beach and turquoise water feel peaceful. You stay ashore for one hour to swim and soak up the sun. Entry is covered, and your lunch is served on the island itself.

The practical side: a driver collects you at your hotel in Soma Bay and takes you to the marina in Hurghada, where most of our island trips set off. Your yacht has a sun deck and sails each day at about 08:00. Plan on about 7 hours for the whole trip.

Two coral reef stops add some underwater fun. The snorkeling gear is provided, so just slip into the water and watch the colorful fish and coral gardens. Newcomers and experienced snorkelers both find their pace.

On board, water, soft drinks, coffee and tea are included all day, and a professional crew with safety equipment looks after the group. Underwater photos, beach towels and personal extras are not in the package. Later, the driver takes you back to your Soma Bay hotel.

Good to know: a passport or a copy may be checked at the port, so keep one in your bag with swimwear, a towel and sunscreen. Leave a working phone number and email. Your pickup time depends on your hotel; we share it on WhatsApp or Telegram once you have booked.
