Luxor Valley of the Queens Mini Group – Safaga

Travel in good company: on this shared Luxor trip from Safaga, the group stops at 6 guests. It is not private, but it feels personal. The day is about the queens of Egypt and the temples of ancient Thebes. Departures are daily, bookings start at 2 guests, and you are out for about 15 hours.

A shared minibus with air conditioning stops at your Safaga hotel, and the exact timing depends on where you stay. Your Egyptologist comes along, and water, cola and snacks are included.

First you walk among the giant columns and open courts of the Karnak complex. Then the guide leads you to Hatshepsut's temple at the foot of the Deir el-Bahari cliffs, built for one of the most remarkable women to rule Egypt.

In the Valley of the Queens, royal wives, princes and other relatives of the pharaohs lie in tombs full of fine paintings. After a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon, a local restaurant serves lunch. A shopping stop is part of the program as well.

Tickets for Karnak, Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Queens are covered. Optional tombs, additional drinks and tips are not.

Good to know: bring good walking shoes, sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen, and keep in mind that the visit order can change. The minibus drops you back in Safaga in the evening. Your exact pickup time is confirmed on WhatsApp or Telegram after booking.
