Luxor Valley of the Kings Mini Group – Safaga

Luxor is big, and a long day there is easier with only a few travel companions. This shared mini group from Safaga never has more than 6 guests, although it is not private. It runs daily, needs at least 2 guests per booking and lasts about 15 hours.

Your ride is an air-conditioned minibus shared with the group. It picks you up at your Safaga hotel, and an Egyptologist guide comes along. Bottled water, cola and snacks are on board for the road.

Your guide starts with Karnak, one of ancient Egypt's biggest sacred sites. Across the river on the West Bank, the Valley of the Kings holds the rock-cut, richly decorated graves of many generations of pharaohs.

Hatshepsut's temple, set into the Deir el-Bahari cliffs, is the next visit, and the Colossi of Memnon give you a quick photo stop. Once the sightseeing is done, a local restaurant serves lunch. A shopping stop is also part of the day.

Tickets for Karnak, Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Kings come with the trip. For Tutankhamun's tomb and the other optional tombs, you buy extra tickets.

Good to know: comfortable shoes, sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen make the visits easier, and the order of the stops may change. The minibus returns you to Safaga in the evening. Pickup times vary by hotel, and yours is confirmed on WhatsApp or Telegram after booking.
