Picture yourself at the foot of the Great Pyramids with just a handful of other travelers around you. That is the idea behind this Cairo mini group for guests on holiday in Safaga: six seats at most, one expert guide and a full day of ancient wonders. Departures happen every day.

Your day begins when a comfortable minivan with air conditioning stops at your Safaga hotel. An Egyptologist rides with you to Cairo. Count on roughly 18 hours from door to door, because the capital is far up the road.

Giza is the first goal. Here you circle the pyramids with your guide, hear how they were raised and then meet the Great Sphinx face to face. In a small group, your questions get real answers.

Afterwards the group moves into the city for the Egyptian Museum and its halls of royal objects and ancient treasures. A local restaurant serves lunch, and a panoramic drive shows you the busy streets of Cairo.

Both entry tickets, for the Giza Pyramids area and the museum, are already covered. Only add the extra ticket for going inside the Great Pyramid or the Nile boat trip if you want them, plus your own spending.

Good to know: carry your passport and Egyptian visa, and wear shoes made for walking, as the sites involve a moderate amount of it. Sunglasses, a hat and sunscreen help in the Giza sun. You reach your Safaga hotel again in the evening, and we message the exact pickup time on WhatsApp or Telegram once you have booked.
