Cairo by Plane: Pyramids & Egyptian Museum – Safaga

Cairo is a long way from Safaga by road. On this trip you fly instead, so you have more time at the Pyramids and the museum and are back at your hotel the same day. It runs daily and lasts about 16 hours.

Our driver picks you up at your hotel in Safaga and takes you to Hurghada International Airport for the domestic flight. In Cairo, your Egyptologist guide meets you, and a private air-conditioned vehicle takes you to the Giza Plateau.

On the plateau, stand before the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, the only surviving wonder of the ancient world, and learn about the people who built them. The Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple come next.

Lunch is at a local Egyptian restaurant. Afterwards, the Egyptian Museum shows you statues, royal treasures and archaeological finds from thousands of years of history.

Covered for you: the flights, airport transfers, lunch, bottled water and the tickets for the Giza Pyramids area and the Egyptian Museum. Extras are entry inside the Great Pyramid, drinks with lunch and tips.

Good to know: you need a valid passport or accepted ID to fly, and flight schedules or traffic can change the plan. Pack sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat. In the evening you fly back to Hurghada, and our driver brings you to your hotel in Safaga.
