Super Desert Safari: Quad, Buggy, Jeep & Dinner – Soma Bay

Why pick one desert vehicle when you can try three? This super safari gives Soma Bay guests a quad, a dune buggy and a 4x4 Jeep in one afternoon, then a Bedouin dinner and a show once it gets dark.

It runs daily, leaves at about 13:00 and lasts around 6 to 7 hours. An air-conditioned car fetches you at your Soma Bay hotel. At the safari base, the team explains the safety rules and gives out safety gear.

Round one: the quad, on sandy golden tracks. Round two: the dune buggy, for even more fun on the dunes. Round three: the 4x4 Jeep, with your professional safari guide driving you further into the desert.

The Jeep stops at a Bedouin village. Ride a camel, drink a glass of Bedouin tea and see how desert families live. At dusk, dinner is a BBQ in the desert, and an Oriental show follows. Water and a soft drink are covered; extra drinks, tips, photos, goggles and the scarf are not.

On the quad you can go single, with a bike for yourself, or double, with two guests sharing one bike, which is great for one adult and one child.

Good to know: pack an ID or passport, closed shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, a dust scarf and a light jacket for winter. Drivers must meet the age limit, and children follow the age rules of each activity. Your Soma Bay pickup time is sent on WhatsApp or Telegram after booking.
