Horse Riding by the Sea & Desert – Soma Bay

Swap the sun lounger in Soma Bay for a horse and see the coast from the saddle. The ride mixes a Red Sea beach with open desert and mountain views, and first-time riders are just as welcome as people who ride at home.

There are three daily starts, at about 11:00, 12:00 or 15:00, and the whole outing lasts around 2 to 3 hours. Our air-conditioned car fetches you from your Soma Bay hotel and brings you to the stable.

The team at the stable starts with a short talk on safety and helps you up. Helmets and the rest of the gear are ready for you, and each horse is calm and well trained.

You spend roughly one hour on horseback, always with an experienced guide near you. The first part goes along the sand, right by the water. Then the path turns inland, into the desert and towards the mountains, with pauses to take pictures.

Please plan for some extras: meals and drinks, professional photos, riding clothes, tips and personal spending are not part of the package.

Good to know: no experience is needed, since the guide never leaves your side. Children can ride under supervision. Choose comfy clothes and closed shoes, pack sunscreen and sunglasses, and listen to the guide at all times. Your Soma Bay pickup time comes by WhatsApp or Telegram after booking.
