Quad Bike Safari, Camel Ride & Bedouin Village – Soma Bay

Looking for the classic desert trip during your Soma Bay holiday? It is this one: your own automatic quad, wide desert tracks, a camel and tea with Bedouins.

You can book any start between 08:00 and 14:00, on any day. We fetch you from your Soma Bay hotel in an air-conditioned car and drive you to the safari base. The guides show you how to use the quad, run through the safety points and give you a helmet.

Then off you go behind your guide, around 50 km in total: about 25 km into the Red Sea Mountains and the same distance back. Beginners manage well, experienced riders enjoy it too, and there are photo breaks along the route.

The far end of the trail is a Bedouin village. Hop on a camel for a short ride and drink some Bedouin tea, then ride the quad back. Water and a soft drink are covered; photos, extra drinks, goggles and the scarf are not.

Single or double? A single quad is yours alone. A double quad carries two guests, for example one adult and one child.

Good to know: the riding part lasts about 3 hours, plus the transfers. Pack an ID or passport, closed shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses and a scarf against dust. Drivers must meet the age limit, and the trip is not advised during pregnancy.
