Luxor Valley of the Kings Mini Group – Soma Bay

Luxor is easier to enjoy when your group is small. This shared excursion from Soma Bay is limited to 6 guests, so you always stay within earshot of your guide. It operates daily, at least 2 guests must book, and the day lasts around 15 hours.

You ride in a shared minibus with air conditioning that collects you at your Soma Bay hotel, and a professional Egyptologist travels with you. Pickup time varies with the location of your hotel.

The day opens at Karnak Temple, one of ancient Egypt's biggest religious sites. On the Nile's West Bank, you then enter the Valley of the Kings, where pharaoh after pharaoh was laid to rest in painted tombs cut into the rock.

Hatshepsut's temple, set against the Deir el-Bahari cliffs, is the next visit, followed by a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon. When the sightseeing is done, lunch waits in a local restaurant.

Covered: entry tickets, lunch, water, cola, snacks, taxes and service charges, plus one shopping stop on the program. Extra tickets apply for Tutankhamun's tomb and other optional tombs, and extra drinks, photos and videos, tips and personal spending are not included.

Practical tips: this is a shared tour rather than a private one, and the visiting order may change. Wear good walking shoes and bring a hat, sunscreen and sunglasses. You head back to Soma Bay in the evening, and your pickup time comes on WhatsApp or Telegram after booking.
