Luxor Valley of the Queens Day Trip – Soma Bay

Made for guests in Soma Bay, this Luxor trip shows you where Egypt's queens were buried, as well as the great temples. Luxor, a former capital of the pharaohs, counts among the world's greatest open-air museums, and you see its highlights in one long day. Trips run on Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.

We pick you up from your hotel in Soma Bay. In the air-conditioned vehicle, a professional Egyptologist shares the tales of the pharaohs and their queens. The round trip lasts around 17 hours.

Your visits begin at Karnak Temple with its massive columns and sacred lake. Then you see Queen Hatshepsut's temple, cut into the Deir el-Bahari cliffs.

The Valley of the Queens is the heart of this trip: here Egypt's queens and princes were laid to rest. On the way back, there is a photo stop at the Colossi of Memnon and a panoramic drive across Luxor.

Your entry tickets for Karnak, Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Queens are covered, and so is lunch in a local restaurant. Some tombs need an extra ticket, and drinks at lunch, optional activities and personal spending are not included.
