Luxor Sunrise Balloon, Kings & Temples – Soma Bay

Start the day high above Luxor and end it among the temples of the pharaohs. Built for guests staying in Soma Bay, this excursion pairs a shared sunrise balloon ride with the great sites of ancient Thebes. It operates daily, lasts around 16 hours, and at least 2 participants must book.

Sunrise in Luxor means leaving very early. We collect you at your Soma Bay hotel in the middle of the night, and the air-conditioned vehicle lets you doze on the way.

Up in the basket, which you share with other guests, you drift above the Nile, the temple ruins and the hills while the light changes. A shared flight here normally lasts 30 to 45 minutes, depending on the weather and the operator's conditions.

After the landing, your Egyptologist leads you through the Valley of the Kings and to Hatshepsut's temple, both on the West Bank. Lunch follows, and the day ends at the vast Karnak Temple Complex.

Included are tickets for the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak Temple, together with lunch, water, cola and snacks. Not included: extra drinks, optional tombs, photos and videos, tips and personal spending.

Practical tips: balloons take off only when weather and safety allow, and if the flight cannot happen, the Luxor sightseeing goes ahead as planned. Big bags may not be permitted in the basket, and the order of visits can change. You receive your Soma Bay pickup time on WhatsApp or Telegram after booking.
