Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids by Plane – Sahl Hasheesh

A flight turns a long road trip into an easy day out. From Sahl Hasheesh, this daily tour flies you to Cairo for the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, with more time at each site. Expect about 16 hours in total.

Pickup is at your hotel. We drive you about 18 km north to Hurghada International Airport for the domestic flight. In Cairo, a private air-conditioned car and your Egyptologist meet you on arrival.

The day begins at Giza, where the pyramids built for Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure stand as the last ancient wonder still standing today. The Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple come next.

Lunch is at a local Egyptian restaurant. Then you explore the Grand Egyptian Museum, among the biggest museums anywhere devoted to one civilization, where the treasures of the pharaohs are on show.

Good to know: bring a valid passport or accepted ID to board the plane. Flight times can change, and so can the order of the day because of flight schedules or traffic. After the return flight in the evening, your driver takes you back to your Sahl Hasheesh hotel.
