Sunrise in Luxor means a night-time start: your pickup at your hotel in Makadi Bay is very early. You travel in an air-conditioned vehicle, and the day lasts about 16 hours.

As the first light appears, the basket lifts off above the Nile Valley, with temples and mountains below you. A shared flight in Luxor normally lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on weather and operating conditions.
