Cairo by Plane: Pyramids & Egyptian Museum – Makadi Bay

Want the Pyramids without the long road? From Makadi Bay, this tour gets you to Cairo by plane, so you spend your energy on the sights and not on the highway. It runs daily, and the whole day takes about 16 hours.

Hurghada International Airport is the airport for Makadi Bay. Our driver collects you at your hotel and takes you there for the domestic flight to Cairo. When you land, an Egyptologist guide is waiting with a private air-conditioned vehicle.

Your first stop is the Giza Plateau with the Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure. Your guide explains the people who built them and how they lived. Then you see the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple up close.

Lunch is at a local Egyptian restaurant. After that, the Egyptian Museum shows you its statues, royal treasures and archaeological finds.

The package covers the flights, the airport transfers, lunch, bottled water, taxes and service charges, and entry to the Giza Pyramids area and the Egyptian Museum. Not covered: entry inside the Great Pyramid, drinks with lunch, tips and personal expenses.

Good to know: you need a valid passport or accepted ID for the flight. Flight times depend on the airline, and the plan can change with flight schedules or traffic. Pack sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat. In the evening you fly back, and we drive you from the airport to your Makadi Bay hotel.
