Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids by Bus – Makadi Bay

Egypt's newest museum and its oldest wonders share one day on this bus trip from Makadi Bay to Cairo. Departures are on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and the day lasts about 18 hours in total.

Pickup is at your hotel in Makadi Bay. You travel in air-conditioned transport, and a professional Egyptologist guide stays with you from start to finish.

The Grand Egyptian Museum sits close to the Giza Plateau. Inside its modern building you walk among royal statues and the treasures of ancient Egypt, in one of the most impressive archaeological museums anywhere.

Then you continue to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Your guide tells the stories behind them, and you have time for photos. Lunch at a local restaurant and a panoramic drive through Cairo round off the visit.

Tickets for the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids area are included, and so is lunch. Entry inside the pyramids, the Nile boat trip and personal expenses are not included.

Good to know: carry your passport with your Egyptian visa, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes with a hat and sunscreen. Snacks and water make the long drive easier.
