Luxor Sunrise Balloon, Kings & Temples – El Gouna

Watch the sun rise over ancient Thebes from a hot air balloon, then walk among royal tombs and giant temples. This Luxor day trip from El Gouna pairs a shared sunrise balloon ride with a tour led by an Egyptologist. It runs daily, with a minimum booking of 2 participants.

Because the balloon takes off at dawn, we collect you from your El Gouna hotel very early, in the night. The ride to Luxor is in air-conditioned transport, and the full day lasts about 16 hours.

From the basket, you look down on the Nile Valley, its temples and the mountains while the sun comes up. You share the balloon with other guests. A shared flight in Luxor normally lasts about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on weather and operating conditions.

After landing, the guide leads you across the West Bank to the Valley of the Kings and to Hatshepsut's temple. Then comes lunch, and in the afternoon the vast temple complex of Karnak.

Your tickets for Karnak, Hatshepsut Temple and the Valley of the Kings are included, plus lunch with cola, water and snacks, taxes and service charges. Optional tombs, additional drinks, photos and videos, tips and personal expenses are not included.

Good to know: the balloon goes up only if weather and safety allow, and big bags may have to stay on the ground. The balloon schedule can change the order of the visits. In the evening, we bring you back to El Gouna. Your exact pickup time is sent on WhatsApp or Telegram.
