On Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, guests staying in El Gouna can join this full-day road trip to Cairo. It packs the Giza Pyramids, the Great Sphinx, the Valley Temple and the Egyptian Museum into one guided day.

We pick you up early from your hotel in El Gouna. You ride in air-conditioned transport, and a professional Egyptologist guide explains everything you see. The whole trip takes about 18 hours, so expect a long but rewarding day.

At Giza, on the edge of Cairo, you meet the Great Pyramids, the last remaining wonder of the ancient world. The Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple are close by, and there is time to take photos.

Then it is time for the Egyptian Museum, where thousands of artifacts and royal treasures tell the story of the pharaohs. Lunch at a local restaurant and a panoramic city tour of Cairo complete the program.

Included: entrance tickets for the Giza Pyramids area and the Egyptian Museum, plus lunch. Going inside the Great Pyramid and the Nile boat trip are optional extras, and personal expenses are your own.
