Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids by Bus – El Gouna

Egypt's newest great museum and its oldest wonder share one day on this road trip from El Gouna to Cairo. The bus leaves on four days a week: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Pickup is at your hotel in El Gouna. The coach is air-conditioned, and a professional Egyptologist guide is by your side the whole day. Count on about 18 hours from pickup to drop-off.

First up is the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), a modern building near the Giza Plateau and one of the world's most impressive archaeological museums. Royal statues and the riches of the pharaohs fill its halls.

From there, you continue to the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Great Sphinx. Listen to the legends your guide shares and take your photos. The day also includes a meal at a local restaurant and a panoramic drive around Cairo.

Lunch and the entry tickets for the GEM and the Giza Pyramids area are covered. Not covered: going inside the pyramids, the optional Nile boat trip and anything personal you buy.

Good to know: your passport with your Egyptian visa is needed. Choose comfortable clothes and shoes, and take a hat, sunscreen, snacks and water for the road. We return you to your El Gouna hotel in the evening and send your exact pickup time on WhatsApp or Telegram after you book.
