Luxor Valley of the Queens Day Trip – El Gouna

Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes, was once a capital of the pharaohs, and its monuments make it feel like a huge open-air museum. This day trip from El Gouna takes you to its great temples and to the Valley of the Queens. It runs on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Pickup is at your hotel in El Gouna, and the ride is in an air-conditioned vehicle. Along the way and at each site, your professional Egyptologist tells you about the kings and queens of Egypt. Plan for a day of about 17 hours.

Karnak Temple, known for its sacred lake and enormous columns, is the first visit. Next, see the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, cut into the rock face at Deir el-Bahari.

The main stop of the day is the Valley of the Queens, the resting place of royal wives and princes. You also pause at the Colossi of Memnon for photos and take a panoramic drive around Luxor.

Lunch at a local restaurant is included, and so is entry to the Valley of the Queens, Hatshepsut Temple and Karnak. Some tombs need extra tickets, and drinks at lunch, optional activities and personal expenses are not included.

Good to know: take your passport with your Egyptian visa, walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat, because there is moderate walking. In the evening, we drive you back to El Gouna. We confirm your exact pickup time, which depends on your hotel, on WhatsApp or Telegram after you book.
