Cairo by Plane: Pyramids & Egyptian Museum – El Gouna

Cairo in a day, and no long bus ride: guests staying in El Gouna fly to the capital for the Giza Pyramids and the Egyptian Museum, guided by a licensed Egyptologist. It runs daily and lasts about 16 hours.

Our driver meets you at your El Gouna hotel and brings you to Hurghada International Airport, about 25 km away, for a domestic flight. On landing in Cairo, your guide greets you, and you continue to Giza in a private vehicle with air conditioning.

For many guests, the big moment is seeing the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure up close. Your guide talks about the people who built them, then walks with you to the Great Sphinx and the Valley Temple.

After a meal at a local Egyptian restaurant, the afternoon belongs to the Egyptian Museum, with its statues, royal treasures and archaeological discoveries.

A lot is covered: both flights, the airport transfers, bottled water, lunch, taxes and service charges, and entry to the Egyptian Museum and the Giza Pyramids area. Going inside the Great Pyramid, drinks at lunch, tips and personal expenses are not part of the package.

Good to know: airlines ask for a valid passport or accepted ID. Airline schedules and traffic can change the flight times and the plan for the day. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. After the evening flight back, we drive you to your El Gouna hotel.
