Staying in El Gouna and dreaming of the Pyramids? This Cairo day trip keeps the group small, with no more than 6 guests in a modern air-conditioned minivan. It runs every day of the week.

Your driver collects you from your hotel in El Gouna, and your professional Egyptologist guide travels with you. The road to Cairo and back is long, and the full day takes about 18 hours.

Your first big moment is the Giza Plateau on the edge of Cairo. Walk around the Great Pyramids with your guide and stand face to face with the Great Sphinx. Next comes the Egyptian Museum and its huge collection of ancient treasures and royal artifacts.

Lunch is served at a local restaurant, and a panoramic drive shows you more of the capital. With only a few people in the minivan, there is plenty of time to ask questions and chat with your guide.

Your tickets for the Giza Pyramids area and the Egyptian Museum are included. To go inside the Great Pyramid, you need an optional ticket. The Nile boat trip is optional too, and personal expenses are not included.

Good to know: pack your passport with your Egyptian visa, comfortable walking shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen and a hat, as there is moderate walking. We bring you back to your El Gouna hotel in the evening. Your exact pickup time depends on your hotel and is confirmed on WhatsApp or Telegram after booking.
