Stargazing Desert Safari with Telescope – Makadi Bay

When the sun goes down over Makadi Bay, the desert sky starts its own show. This evening safari takes you from your hotel into the desert for a quad ride, Bedouin culture, dinner and a close look at the stars through a professional telescope.

Please check the days first: Monday, Wednesday and Friday only. The safari starts around 16:00, and the whole evening lasts around 5 to 6 hours. We pick you up at your hotel in Makadi Bay and drive you to the safari station, where the team gives you a safety talk.

Your adventure begins on an ATV quad bike, on sandy trails at the foot of the Red Sea Mountains. Then a 4x4 Jeep carries you on to a Bedouin village, where you ride a camel and drink Bedouin tea.

Dinner is a BBQ under the open desert sky, followed by an Oriental show. One bottle of water and one soft drink come with it; scarf and goggles, extra drinks, photos and tips do not.

Then comes the highlight. Away from city lights, an expert guides you as you find stars and planets with a professional telescope.

Quad choice: take a single quad and ride your own bike all evening, or a double quad and share one bike, a good fit for 1 adult riding with 1 child.

Good to know: pack your passport or a photo ID, closed shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf for the dust and a warm jacket in winter. Drivers need to meet the minimum age rules. After you book, we confirm your exact pickup time from Makadi Bay on WhatsApp or Telegram.
