Horse Riding by the Sea & Desert – Makadi Bay

Trade the pool for a saddle on this horse riding trip for guests staying in Makadi Bay. You ride along the Red Sea shore and then out into the quiet desert, and the trip suits complete beginners as well as confident riders.

You can start at about 11:00, 12:00 or 15:00, every day. An air-conditioned car picks you up at your hotel in Makadi Bay and takes you to the stable. The whole trip takes about 2 to 3 hours.

At the stable, friendly instructors explain the safety rules and help you get ready. They give you a riding helmet and all the equipment you need before you get on your well-trained horse.

Then you set off for about one hour with an experienced guide by your side. The first part follows the sandy beach next to the clear water. The second part heads into the desert, with views of the mountains and stops for photos.

Not included: food and drinks, professional photos, riding clothes, personal expenses and tips.

Good to know: you do not need any riding experience, because your guide stays with you the whole time. Children are welcome under supervision. Wear comfortable clothes and closed shoes, bring sunglasses and sunscreen, and always follow your guide.
