Quad Bike Safari, Camel Ride & Bedouin Village – Makadi Bay

This is the classic desert trip for guests in Makadi Bay who want real time on a quad bike: around 50 km of riding, a stop at a Bedouin village for a camel ride and tea, and the ride back.

Starts can be booked from 08:00 to 14:00, every day. We collect you at your hotel in Makadi Bay in an air-conditioned vehicle and drive you to the safari station. There, the guides explain the safety rules and riding, and hand you a helmet.

Then the engines start. Your automatic quad carries you about 25 km out and the same distance back among the Red Sea Mountains, behind a professional guide. It suits beginners and experienced riders, with photo stops on the way.

At the turning point, you reach a traditional Bedouin village. Take a short camel ride and drink a glass of Bedouin tea before the return. One bottle of water and one soft drink come with the trip; the scarf, goggles, extra drinks and photos do not.

Quad choice: ride a single quad on your own, or pick a double quad and share one bike with another guest, a good fit for 1 adult riding with 1 child.

Good to know: the safari itself lasts about 3 hours, not counting the transfers. Pack your passport or a photo ID, closed shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen and a scarf for the dust. Drivers need to meet the minimum age rules, and the trip is not advised for pregnant travelers.
