Super Desert Safari: Quad, Buggy, Jeep & BBQ – Sahl Hasheesh

If you only book one safari during your stay in Sahl Hasheesh, this one packs in a lot. You drive a quad bike and a dune buggy, travel by 4x4 Jeep, sit on a camel and finish the day with dinner and a show.

Departures are daily at around 13:00, and the whole outing lasts roughly 6 to 7 hours. Our air-conditioned transfer collects you at your hotel in Sahl Hasheesh. At the start point, the crew explains the safety rules and gives out the gear.

The quad bike comes first, along golden desert trails. Then you swap to a dune buggy. After that, a 4x4 Jeep takes you deeper into the desert with your professional safari guide.

At the Bedouin village, climb onto a camel, sip a glass of Bedouin tea and get a feel for how people live in the desert. When evening comes, dinner is a desert BBQ, and then the Oriental show starts. One bottle of water and one soft drink come with the trip; other drinks, photos, tips, and the scarf and goggles do not.

Your quad, your choice: a single quad for one rider, or a double quad shared by two, ideal for 1 adult with 1 child.

Good to know: have a passport or photo ID with you and wear closed shoes. Sunglasses, sunscreen and a dust scarf help, and a light jacket is welcome on winter evenings. Drivers must meet minimum age rules, and each activity has its own age rules for children.
