Horse Riding by the Sea & Desert – Safaga

Horse riding where the sea meets the desert: that is the idea of this trip for guests on holiday in Safaga. Part of the ride follows the shoreline, and part of it leads into the quiet desert. Complete beginners and confident riders both enjoy it.

The day starts with pickup at your Safaga hotel in an air-conditioned car, and then we head to the stable. There are departures every day at about 11:00, 12:00 or 15:00. Count on about 2 to 3 hours for the trip, and add the transfer time from your hotel.

Before you get on the horse, friendly instructors explain the safety rules and help you get ready. You receive a helmet and all the gear you need.

Riding time is about one hour on a well-trained horse, with an experienced guide next to you. You move along the sand beside the clear water, then turn inland toward the desert and the mountains behind it. The guide stops for photos on the way.

Not covered: meals and drinks, professional photos, riding clothes, personal expenses and tips.

Before you go: you do not need any riding experience, as the guide stays with you all the time. Kids can join with adult supervision. Choose comfortable clothes and closed shoes, and pack sunglasses and sunscreen. Always listen to your guide.
