Orange Bay Island Snorkeling Trip – Makadi Bay

White sand, shallow turquoise water and coral reefs nearby: Orange Bay is the island most visitors to Makadi Bay ask about first. This yacht trip gives you the island and the reefs in one day.

The boat does not leave from Makadi Bay. Instead, we pick you up at your hotel and drive you about 30 km north to the marina in Hurghada, where a comfortable yacht with a sun deck is ready. Departure is at about 08:00 daily, and the trip lasts about 6 hours.

The island belongs to the Giftun group, a protected nature area near the coast. One hour there is yours for swimming, sunbathing and photos.

Twice during the day the yacht stops at a coral reef so you can snorkel among colorful fish. The gear is provided, and there are life jackets and other safety gear on the yacht. These stops work for beginners and for experienced snorkelers.

Lunch is served on the yacht, together with water, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Not included: sunscreen, beach towels, underwater photos and videos, and personal expenses. When the yacht is back at the marina, our driver brings you to your hotel in Makadi Bay.

Good to know: your passport (or a copy) may be checked at the port, so keep it with you. Pack swimwear, sunscreen and a towel; beach shoes and a thin cover-up help too. Children are welcome.
