Nefertari Pharaonic Cruise with Snorkeling – Makadi Bay

Here is a boat trip that does not need the drive to Hurghada. The Nefertari cruise sets off in Makadi Bay itself, on a boat styled like a pharaoh's ship and built as a floating copy of the tomb of Nefertari. Snorkeling and ancient Egypt share the same deck.

Our driver collects you from your hotel and brings you to the marina in Makadi Bay. From there the boat sails toward Abu Hashish Island. You can pick a morning or an afternoon at sea, with daily departures at 09:00 or 13:30, and the cruise lasts about 4 hours.

Nefertari, wife of Ramses II, rests in a tomb in the Valley of the Queens that is famous for its colorful paintings. Below the waterline, the boat has an observation deck. Sit by its big panoramic windows and look at the reef and its fish without getting wet.

Want a fun souvenir? Put on a costume, become a pharaoh or a queen and take photos sitting on a replica of the throne of Tutankhamun. Then a guide takes the group snorkeling over the reef, with life jackets and safety gear provided.

On the cruise back, a three-course meal is served, with seafood or chicken and soft drinks. Photo and video services are extra, as are your personal expenses.
