Mahmya Island Snorkeling Trip – Makadi Bay

Mahmya is often called one of the most exclusive islands of the Red Sea. If you are on holiday in Makadi Bay, this yacht trip takes you there for beach time and lunch, with two snorkeling stops added. Children are welcome too.

We pick you up at your hotel in Makadi Bay and drive you north to the marina in Hurghada, about 30 km away, where you board a yacht with a sun deck. It leaves at about 08:00 every day, and the whole trip takes about 7 hours.

Mahmya belongs to the protected Giftun area and has a calm, quiet feel. You get one hour on its white sandy beach to swim in clear turquoise water or rest in the sun. Island access is included, and lunch is served on Mahmya itself.

On the way, the yacht stops twice at coral reefs for snorkeling. Colorful fish live among the coral, and the equipment is provided. Both stops suit beginners and experienced snorkelers.

Drinks during the day include water, soft drinks, coffee and tea. A professional crew and safety equipment are on board. Underwater photos, beach towels and personal expenses are not part of the trip. When the day ends, we drive you back to your hotel in Makadi Bay.
