Nefertari Pharaonic Cruise with Snorkeling – Safaga

Picture a boat that looks like a royal tomb from ancient Egypt. The Nefertari was built as a floating copy of Queen Nefertari's tomb, and for guests in Safaga it makes a short, unusual sea trip that mixes history, snorkeling and a good meal.

This cruise starts from Makadi Bay, between Safaga and Hurghada. Our driver picks you up at your Safaga hotel, takes you there and brings you back afterwards. The boat heads toward Abu Hashish Island. Choose the 09:00 or the 13:30 departure; both run daily, and the trip takes about 4 hours.

Some history first. Nefertari was married to Ramses II, and the paintings in her tomb in the Valley of the Queens are famous for their colors. On the lower level, the underwater observation deck has big panoramic windows, so you can watch coral and fish and stay completely dry.

Time for photos: put on a costume of an ancient Egyptian king or queen and pose on a copy of Tutankhamun's throne. Afterwards, a guide leads a snorkeling stop over the reef, with life jackets and safety gear provided.

As the boat returns, a 3-course meal with seafood or chicken is served, along with soft drinks. Photo and video services and personal spending are not part of the package.
