Stargazing Desert Safari with Telescope – El Gouna

When the sun goes down, the desert sky fills with stars. This evening safari for guests in El Gouna adds a professional telescope to a quad ride, a Jeep trip, Bedouin culture and dinner.

Trips go out on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at about 16:00 and last about 5 to 6 hours with transfers. Our driver collects you from your El Gouna hotel. At the safari station, the team gives you a safety briefing.

First you drive an ATV quad on sandy tracks beneath the Red Sea Mountains. Then you switch to a 4x4 Jeep, which takes you on to a traditional Bedouin village. There you ride a camel and sip Bedouin tea.

As darkness falls, dinner is served: a desert BBQ, then an Oriental show. One bottle of water and one soft drink come with it.

Now the real highlight. With no city lights nearby, the sky is clear and dark, and an expert helps you find stars and planets through a professional telescope.

Choose a single quad if you want to ride alone, or a double quad to share one bike, handy for 1 adult riding with 1 child.

Good to know: carry a passport or photo ID, wear closed shoes, and pack sunglasses, sunscreen, a scarf against the dust and, in winter, a jacket. Extra drinks, photos, tips, the scarf and goggles are not included. Quad drivers must meet the minimum age.
