Nefertari Pharaonic Cruise with Snorkeling – El Gouna

Ancient Egypt meets the Red Sea on the Nefertari. This pharaonic-style boat is shaped like a floating copy of Queen Nefertari's tomb, and guests from El Gouna can join its short cruise of snorkeling, history and fun photos.

The cruise leaves from Makadi Bay, south of Hurghada. We collect you at your hotel in El Gouna, drive you down to Makadi Bay and bring you back afterwards. The boat then sails toward Abu Hashish Island. Choose the 09:00 or the 13:30 departure; each trip lasts about 4 hours.

Who was Nefertari? She was the queen of Ramses II, and her tomb in the Valley of the Queens is famous for its colorful paintings. On board, walk down to the underwater observation deck. Big panoramic windows let you watch the coral and the fish without getting wet.

Next, put on the costume of an ancient Egyptian king or queen and pose on a copy of Tutankhamun's throne. Then a guide takes you snorkeling to see the colorful reef up close. Safety equipment and life jackets are provided.

On the way back, sit down to a 3-course meal with chicken or seafood, served with soft drinks. Not included: personal expenses and the photo and video services.
